The Hitman: Absolution trailer has been out for days. Even IGN is trashing it.
What’s the deal?
Honestly, the Hitman franchise hasn’t been on my radar and I wasn’t aware of the trailer or the game itself until today.
I think the real issue here is the level of taste we’re dealing with. I want, above all else, my games to be good. This means, I want a decent story, and some fun gameplay and I’m as happy as a clam. I cant, for the life of me, imagine a scenario where a group of female assassins would have to be disguised as nuns, and then get all bondage-y before shooting up a hotel. So even from a rudimentary storytelling standpoint I have a problem with this trailer.
I think the whole,”check out these booooooobs as her nose gets broken”, and “Shes looking pretty sexy with that knife in her throat” is pretty upsetting too. Games already get a bad reputation, and this kind of thoughtless tasteless slop isn’t helping.

I just want a spin off series called Jaqen and Arya talk for an hour. I would watch it every day of the week. They were probably my favorite moment of both this and last week’s Game of Thrones.
